Alina Stockinger

Alina has a degree in English and in Spanish Philology from the University of Graz and a master’s degree in Creation of street arts  from the University of Lleida. As a child, she used to make choreographies with her friends and neighbours. In summer, she would invite the whole camping community to watch them (and pay for it). At 7, Alina started dancing ballet and later realized that she had no ballerina-feet. Fortunately, she discovered hip hop and modern dance and the other usual suspects.

At university, she got in touch with contemporary dance, theatre and performance, with dramaturgy and clown, with the scenic art scene of Graz and Barcelona and decided to move to Catalonia and explore the in-betweens of places and languages, the real and the fictional, performance and spectatorship. It is there where she feels at home.

Eléctrico 28 started with her final master’s project and with it, the big love of her artlife. Inside of Eléctrico 28, Alina frequently provides ideas for projects, which she also leads on an artistic and organizational level. She loves performing, directing, writing and teaching. She likes to think in philosophical and social terms and is convinced of the healing function of art. Truly, she needs it to feel better in and about the world. She is a Capricorn with a Scorpio ascendant. Long term stuff and depth.
