Intemperies reunidas: coincidencias, accidentes, cúmulos is a book proposal that, by applying suggestion and poetics, seeks to understand and re-signify the small events of everyday urban life. The idea of the book was born out of everything that coincides in the streets, and confabulates a particular way of ordering, classifying and defining it. It is a kind of inventory that superimposes, assembles and disorganises registers of the ordinary and definitions of street finds that are written by turning common perspectives upside down. It could be a small museum of urban coincidences. The content of the book vindicates the state of astonishment in the face of the predictable, the transitory and the encounters; in the face of the constructed, the calculated, the settled. And the ordinary events.
Everything that is registered in the book has crossed our eyes, ears, smell or skin. The exercise and the craftsmanship lie in extracting from the particular, the universal.
It is a book about the street that is been created in the street, in the open air. From all that is extracted, a perception of the urban is born, an approximation to the sensation of the exterior.
Our street observations and the writing derived from them put the presence of people, animals, plants, furniture, rubbish, buildings and things on the same level. The book aims to reflect a kind of gaze that is sensitive to the conjunction and coexistence of things.
