The Place

WORK-IN-PROGRESS, Premiere 2025

The Place wonders about the relationship we have and could have with the places we are in, carved from a concrete experience in one particular place that we decide on calling “The Place”, for the sake of evident simplicity. In the format of an interactive performance, the audience is invited to linger in this place and the places inside of it. It happens there that perspectives, senses come together, accompanied by amplified sounds, original songs, and the bodies and words of four women in red with a special love for places.

Driven by the idea that we are never only in one place, but that places carry us unconditionally through life, we want to recognise these non-human entities as kin and consider them as part of our most valuable relationships. We are unsure if places feel the same, but we would like them to know that we care, even though our human mind can sometimes be as limited as a swimming pool.

With [ The Place ], want to transmit our love for places and thus rethink the way we are in the world.

We look for an intimate connection with the audience, where people can experiment the relationship to places for themselves.
